Dear Church Family,   

On Sunday, we held our first “Church Business Meeting” following the service.  New Church Treasurer Joe Engler and I reviewed first half results and to summarize, shared the following observations;   

• The church is currently on solid ground financially.  
• We are meeting all current operating expenses.  
• While the first two statements above are accurate, it was also pointed out that this status is in the absence of the expense of a Pastor.  
• It was shared that five families (11% of 42 “family units) represent 47% of church giving to date this year.  It was noted this is an area of opportunity for our assembly.  
• At our current monthly giving/expense rates we are not currently in a position to support a new Pastor, however this can easily be addressed by each member putting this to prayer and requesting direction from God as to how they can support His church.  

To assist in that, we reviewed the Biblical position on giving to a local church and referenced the following scripture;  

• “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” - 2 Corinthians 9:7  
• “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:21

It was also noted that as a whole, our congregation is an "extremely involved" one and definitely living up to our slogan of "Be the Church".  You certainly are the church!  Thank you for all you are doing to support God’s church, you are truly a blessing!
