"Be the Church"

Church Update 1/15/24

by Mark L. Holz on January 15, 2024

Dear Church Family,

If you have friends who have recently started attending our church, please encourage them to sign up for our email updates at our website to stay informed on what's going on at LTBC.  We're glad to have them join our assembly and want them to feel welcomed!

Yesterday we held a moment of silence to recognize the one year anniversary of the passing of our Founding Pastor Ted Mustill.  It was an emotional day for Dede and Jessica as you can imagine and they very much appreciate all the love and support you have given them this last year.  As noted, we will be working on some type of memorial recognition of our founder and church planter of LTBC to be presented at a service in April during the celebration of our 33rd year as a church here in Copper.

Our Teen Youth Group meets each Monday evening here at the church from 6:00-7:30pm.  This group is growing each week and we encourage any teens to come and join us to see what it's all about!

Community Bible Study (CBS) meets at the church each Tuesday morning at 9:00am.  They are currently doing a study on the book of Job.  All are welcome!

Our Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting takes place each Tuesday evening at 6:00pm.  Come join us for a time of sharing and prayer for the church and the community.

The Leadership Team wants to hear from you!  At our recent meeting the topic of Missions and Ministries came up in terms of what God might lead us to support as a church now or in the future.  We are looking for ideas from our members for consideration, so please share your thoughts by responding to this email!

2023 Annual Giving statements are being worked on and scheduled to be distributed via email by the end of the month.  Please let us know if you do not have an email address and need a printed copy.

Sunday, January 28th we will be holding our first "Annual Business Meeting" to review results from 2023 and look forward to 2024.  We encourage everyone to join us in this short meeting that will begin 15 minutes following our regular service that day.

Kathy and I had some close friends from our old church come and visit this weekend who make it a point to visit LTBC every time they're up.  It had been about a year and a half since they had been here and they were amazed (and at times during the service in tears) to see the energy and people and to see what God has brought here.  God is doing great things through each of you.

Let's see what God brings next!
