Church Update 5/22/23

Dear Church Family,

What a wonderful Sunday at church yesterday!

-We had three ladies Baptized in the name of Jesus yesterday (see below).  Praise God!

-In attendance also were five children who attended our Children's Ministry yesterday and were all praying when I walked by the room.  It made me want to cry.  Look at what God is bringing and continuing to bless his assembly with!  Praise God!

Weekly prayer meetings – Tuesday Evening at 6:00pm

Please join us for this weekly time of sharing and prayer.  It’s a great way to get to know others in the church and participate in praying for our church and community.

Baptisms Yesterday – What a blessing to see our baptismal pool back in action yesterday as three new sisters in Christ made their public confirmations as followers of Jesus.  As Pastor Toby said in yesterday’s sermon, Baptism is an extremely important step for a Christian in their walk with Jesus and is what He expects of us as a part of our worship and witness for Him.  If you have accepted Christ but not yet been baptized, please contact us at the church and we will make arrangements for future services.  Don't delay!

"All Church" Survey – Thank you for your participation in this survey!  We have collected nearly 50 surveys (our weekly attendance has been around 60) and will start digesting the information within the Pastoral Search Committee.  Your input is important as we follow the steps towards finding the new Pastor God has not yet revealed to us.  If you have not handed in a survey yet, there is still time to do so, please contact me at mkholz@sbcglobal.net and I will make arrangements to get it from you.  We want to hear from you!

Children’s Ministry – We are continuing to grow in this area, we had 5 children yesterday!  We are in the process of getting all of our volunteers registered (routine background checks, etc.) so we may communicate this returning ministry in our church soon.  Our sincere thanks to Zena Elliott for taking the lead on this ministry and all the wonderful volunteers who have stepped up!  Many hands make for light work!

We're seeing God's work every week in a new way.  Let's see what God brings next!

Thank you for all you’re doing in following God and supporting His church!

Blessings,

Mark
